Case background and key issues
Brixton PLC is the UKs leading publicly quoted company specialising in providing industrial and warehouse property that offers lease flexibility and high quality customer service. Brixton owns or manages around 25million sq ft of industrial and warehouse space in the UK. The spread of properties are particularly around Manchester and Birmingham, although by value the large majority remain concentrated in the South East.

Brixton PLC had a requirement to market a new phase of development at Kingsland Business Park in Basingstoke, situated approximately 2 miles north east of Basingstoke town centre. The location offers a range of both industrial and warehouse units in a prominent area with a strong blue chip presence.

  • The new development, which is known as 'Antura comprised 100,000 sq ft, forming part of the ideally placed Kingsland Business Park. Antura consists of seven high- office-content industrial and warehouse units.
  • Brixton now needed the units to be marketed and let to occupiers and contracted two local agents to manage this requirement

London Clancy achievements

  • As a joint letting agent, London Clancy acted to promote the units for occupation. London Clancy was also involved in part, with the initial design and concept of the property.
  • Marketing of Antura started well before construction. During 2003/2004, London Clancy was successful in letting all of the units, which were of superior quality due to the concept, design and construction being to a significantly high standard.
  • The successful letting of the Antura units highlighted many of the benefits of working with London Clancy. Brixton Plc worked with one partner from the firm, which allowed for stronger communications and a consistent and organised method of working strategically achieving a common goal.

The result
Brixton is now planning another phase of development at Kingsland Business Park and London Clancy are involved as letting agents.
